RISE Year in Review 2025
Taking a moment to look back and appreciate how far we’ve come. As the year comes to a close, we’re reminded how much it helps to pause and look back. When we take a moment to reflect, the pace of the year slows just enough for us to notice what we’ve achieved, what we’ve learned, and what we’re grateful for. So before we step into a new year of ideas, deadlines, early flights and late meetings, we want to acknowledge what 2025 meant for RISE, not everything, but enough to tell the story of who we were this year.
Turning complex work into meaningful stories
Our year was full of project meetings, workshops, reviews, and events. But for us, these weren’t just calendar entries, they were chances to translate complex research into clear, relatable messages. We worked to make project results understandable to the people who need them: patients, policymakers, entrepreneurs, farmers, researchers, and communities. Because research only truly matters when people can make sense of it, and use it.
Building skills and confidence across Europe
A major part of our work this year happened through trainings, mentoring, and capacity-building sessions. We supported researchers taking their first steps in IP, entrepreneurs exploring EU programmes, and intermediaries strengthening their roles in local ecosystems. We also worked closely with institutions in Widening countries, including through the EU-13 Roadshow of the European IP Helpdesk, which once again showed how valuable dedicated, hands-on support is for growing innovation capacity across the region. Wherever we went, our goal was simple: help people feel more empowered to navigate innovation systems.
Strengthening the ecosystems we are part of
Innovation doesn’t happen alone, it happens in networks. This year, we helped connect those networks:
• facilitating dialogue between actors who rarely meet, • supporting responsible IP practices and new valorisation models, • ensuring that voices from emerging ecosystems were included in European conversations.
Across projects and partnerships, we saw again that innovation grows stronger when ecosystems are connected and when every region has a seat at the table. We also welcomed new collaborations, expanded our project portfolio, and strengthened our partnerships. New colleagues joined us and our shared ecosystem grew richer and more capable.

To the EURICE family: thank you for your steady support, your shared expertise, and the spirit of collaboration. We are grateful to grow within this shared ecosystem and proud to be part of it.
As we end the year, we carry forward not just achievements, but the relationships and lessons that shaped them. Here’s to a new year of ideas, challenges, collaborations, and progress, and to continuing this journey together.
