International Science Communication Manager (m/f/d)

We are expanding our team and looking for an International Science Communication Manager who will join us and contribute to driving new solutions for socially relevant problems forward and helping launch innovative business ideas.

Locations: Zagreb or Split

Our project portfolio, in the areas of health and climate protection, for example, covers a broad spectrum of thematic focal points and research initiatives of varying technology/market maturity. Become a member of our communications team and make an important contribution to driving new solutions for socially relevant problems forward and helping launch innovative business ideas.

YOUR TASKS:

• Planning, coordinating, and implementing communication and marketing measures for multiple R&I projects and thematic project portfolios
• Preparing and adapting research and innovation topics for the broader public
• Creating and revising text material/content, primarily in English (e.g., web content, print material, audio-visual material)
• Supporting the development of corporate identity and corporate design concepts for European/international initiatives and projects
• Communicating with relevant target groups (including strategic stakeholder management, social media management, and supporting press and media work)
• Liaising with associations and interest groups, e.g., in the health sector
• Developing and implementing RISE corporate communications measures

YOUR PROFILE:

• Very good command of Croatian and English, including excellent text comprehension, a good ‘feel’ for languages, and convincing presentation skills
• Academic degree, for instance, in communications, language studies or Business studies with a focus on marketing or similar is an advantage
• Professional experience in public relations/marketing or science communication, ideally in an agency or association, is desirable
• Work experience in the context of international projects is a bonus

• Communication allrounder with a sound general education level and an interest in scientific and economic topics
• Strong communicative and conceptual skills
• Customer- and goal-oriented thinking, as well as an engaging and professional manner when communicating with external partners; good negotiation skills
• Ability to grasp complex issues quickly and to work independently, in a structured manner and attentive to detail
• Self-motivated team player
• Keen to travel
